A record 77,237 cubic metres of Accoya-modified wood were shipped globally in the year to 31 March 2026, with revenue climbing 12 per cent to €153 million. That is according to a new trading update published by Accsys, which showed like-for-like revenue up 20 per cent and North American sales volumes surging 60 per cent across the first full year of trading for the Accoya USA joint venture.
Every other Accsys region also grew, with Rest of Europe sales lifting 23 per cent, UK and Ireland volumes rising 12 per cent, and Rest of World volumes up 9 per cent. Accoya, supplied as a raw material for Tricoya modified wood panels, also climbed 9 per cent, with Accsys citing continued demand strength despite challenging macroeconomic conditions.
Accsys CEO Dr Jelena Arsic van Os attributed the result to the disciplined execution of the company’s FOCUS strategy, highlighting record volumes, market share gains, and improved profitability: “Our differentiated offering is resonating with customers, and the progress of our Accoya USA joint venture reinforces the strength of our strategic positioning in North America.”
Pricing discipline and a favourable sales mix for Accoya Color drove margin strength across the year, backed by a first-half production capacity lift at the Barry, UK plant. Accsys said management had absorbed the impact of the October 2025 tariffs on US lumber imports, with Accoya USA’s growth trajectory holding firm through the trade policy shift.
Arsic van Os attributed the North American result to brand strength, pricing power and innovative technology, whilst flagging continued caution around the broader geopolitical backdrop. “While remaining mindful of current geopolitical events, we are delivering against our priorities, strengthening the business, enhancing resilience, and building a scalable platform for sustainable long-term growth,” Arsic van Os said.
Audited FY26 results from Accsys will be published on 16 June, with EBITDA tracking market consensus, set to confirm the 77,237 cubic metre global volume tally. Accoya USA’s 60 per cent North American surge drove a 21 per cent year-on-year jump despite October’s US lumber tariffs — the record Arsic van Os tied to FOCUS strategy discipline.
