Mick Harrington has been appointed as the new Forest & Wood Communities Australia Executive Officer.

Mr Harrington, who has been a director of Forest & Wood Communities since 2022, will be replacing Justin Law who has been Managing Director of the organisation since July 2020.

In a planned restructure of the team, the Executive Officer role replaces the National Membership Manager and Managing Director positions.

In a statement, the FWCA Board thanked Felicia Stevenson for her outstanding service as National Membership Manager, a role in which she helped to grow our membership to more than 1300 financial members.

The Board also thanked Justin Law, who was a foundation Director and has guided FWCA through the past three years of establishment and growth.

Mr Harrington is a Gippsland timber worker, with deep connection with regional communities.

A director of Gippsland-based T & S Welding, Mick was formerly a grand finalist on the 2021 version of The Voice!

The Board has every confidence that Mr Harrington will succeed in continuing to grow FWCA membership and its importance as a voice for the families in our timber towns.

Wood Central understands that Justin Law will be moving to Pentarch and will remain highly engaged in forestry issues.
