North America is fast becoming the next hot market for timber in construction, with America’s top fabricators jostling to serve the exponential growth in lighter, quicker and greener building materials. Because of this, it’s not surprising that registrations for next year’s International Mass Timber Conference – the world’s largest gathering of mass timber professionals are tracking ahead of the same time last year.

“Each year, we are relentless in our pursuit of improvement, refining the conference to ensure attendees receive maximum value for their investment,” said Craig Rawlings, President and CEO of the International Mass Timber Conference.

“Our mission is to create the world’s premier event where professionals can forge meaningful connections, close deals, and accelerate their projects more efficiently than anywhere else.”

Slated for March 25-27, 2025, the Portland, Oregon-based conference, now in its 9th year, will see up to 3,500 delegates attend the world’s largest mass timber conference and exhibition.

“Wood Central is proud to be an official media partner for the International Mass Timber Conference,” according to Wood Central’s Australian-based publisher, Jason Ross. “We can’t wait to cover the huge volume of presentations next year.”

Today, Wood Central spoke to Shelby Snelson, the 2025 International Mass Timber Conference organiser, who said the early bird registration deadline (for a US $970 full pass) closes January 8, 2025.

“We can’t wait to welcome our overseas friends,” Ms Snelson said before adding that international travellers can see the Portland International Airport’s new 9-acre timber roof in person. Last year, 2,700 delegates from across the world, including Andrew Dunn, the Timber Construct organiser who attended the conference as a special guest of the APA—Engineered Wood Association. “The enormous trade show (made up of 190+ exhibitors) is a mass timber enthusiast dream,” Mr Dunn said, “with the 60+ speakers better (in 2024) than 2023.”
