Six days and nights of outstanding inspiration, information and fun from Vienna, Austria, to Milan, Italy… including a night stay at Dormero Ho Ho Vienna Hotel, a twenty-four-story mass timber hybrid hotel, which for a time was the world’s tallest timber building!

That’s the promise from WoodSolutions and the Timber Development Association ahead of another action-packed study mission to the heart of Central Europe.

From May 26 to June 1, the mission will include architects, engineers, developers and building professionals visiting the world’s leading timber projects and fabrication and manufacturing facilities.

Led by Andrew Dunn, timber engineer and CEO of the TDA – who last year journaled the trip to Norway and Sweden, the trip promises to be an “odyssey to the heart of cross-laminated timber and glulam manufacturing,” with guests travelling from Vienna to Milan, “via luxury coach, of course,” Mr Dunn grinned, who for the first time, revealed the Itinerary exclusively to Wood Central.

“This year’s trip is limited to just 20 guests only,” Mr Dunn said, “so early bookings are essential, with bookings allocated in order of full payment.”

For just $6,950 per single person (not including international flights to Vienna and from Milan), participants will get exclusive access to high-profile projects, “meeting the people the projects,” Mr Dunn said.

“These are people we could not usually gain access to,” he said before adding, “We will see buildings that are under construction as well as completed projects.”

“The tour has the world’s best and most advanced timber manufacturing.”

Guests will shop in the world’s number 1 shopping destination and take in Milan’s famous timber-roofed shopping arcades – footage courtesy of @lastweekendwe9406.
